Position

The ideal General Manager will oversee all studio operations, including sales, staff management, and customer service.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail or fitness sales experience.
  • Proven ability to generate personal sales and train sales staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the studio owner.
  • Experience managing revenue streams: memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability to a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong judgment to identify and implement improvements.
  • Passion for fitness and health.
  • Solid writing and grammar skills.
  • Highly organized with proficiency in data management and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Trustworthiness with confidential information.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with staff, clients, and the public.
  • Proficiency with computers and studio management software.

Duties

  • Lead generation through grassroots marketing and networking.
  • Implement sales processes to convert prospects into demo classes.
  • Drive membership sales via outside sales and business development.
  • Manage staff schedules and supervise sales representatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage inventory.
  • Hire and manage instructors.
  • Utilize ClubReady software for reports and analytics.
  • Review instructor evaluations.
  • Handle customer service issues independently.
  • Collect outstanding dues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio.
  • Enforce policies and procedures.
  • Ensure studio supplies and literature are stocked.
  • Participate in community events and promotions.
  • Manage marketing campaigns to generate leads.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
