Warehouse QC Associate Job at Elliott Electric Supply in Farmers Branch

Available Shifts: 3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 6:00pm to 3:00am

Summary: Supports the day to day operations of the Branch ensuring all orders are picked accurately. The Quality Control Associate uses the Ship Ticket Audit software to audit each order for accuracy. After the order is audited, the order is prepared for shipment, including organizing the pallet or box to prevent damage and to facilitate customer receipt. All corresponding labels must be present, including the customer label, QC label, mixed carton label, etc. The order is then staged in the correct staging area for on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Audit each order for accuracy using Ship Ticket Audit software.
• Prepare audited orders for shipment, ensuring proper packing, labeling, and staging for delivery.
• Ensure all required labels are attached and readable (customer label, QC label, mixed carton label, etc.).
• Coordinate with warehouse operations to stage orders in the correct area for on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Ability to read orders and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Certification in power-truck equipment; ability to operate inventory control equipment (e.g., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices).

Physical Requirements

Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Able to work in extreme temperatures in a warehouse environment. Position requires standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing for extended periods; may require climbing ladders for top-level selection. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a constant state of alert and safe work practices.
