Job Description

The Technical Solutions Architect provides expertise for clients in performing technical business process management activities. Their primary focus is to lead the client and collaborate with the Technical Architecture team to determine best practices and efficient processes. They utilize their knowledge of applications and tools to guide the delivery and Functional Architecture teams in configuring and enhancing applications to implement the designed processes. The architect acts as the main conduit between business process owners, executives, and the technical and functional teams to ensure the application meets the requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose:
    • Understand project scope and approach with the Functional Solutions Architect
    • Oversee environment management activities
    • Understand applications and integration methodologies
    • Gather data migration requirements
    • Collect non-functional requirements for routine jobs and services
  2. Analyze:
    • Coordinate with the Functional Architecture team on enhancements
    • Identify and document data migration needs
    • Partner on ISV analysis and implementation
    • Review gap requirements for technical feasibility
    • Provide high-level estimates and recommend BI/reporting strategies
    • Understand key performance requirements
  3. Develop:
    • Manage technical task breakdowns
    • Guide technical consultants
    • Oversee code management and deployment
    • Supervise unit testing
    • Develop Go-Live strategy
  4. Validate:
    • Supervise testing and code remediation
    • Manage performance tuning strategies
  5. Deploy and Support:
    • Execute Go-Live deployment
    • Provide post-Go-Live support
  6. Maintain a positive client and team attitude
  7. Travel up to 25% as needed
  8. Perform other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Own and drive key workstreams
  • Manage project workstreams
  • Mentor and develop entry and senior level consultants

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of D365 experience leading projects and teams, or
  • High School Diploma/GED and 7+ years of D365 experience
  • 6+ years of D365 project leadership experience
  • 3+ years in software as a process improvement catalyst, implementation, or enhancement design
  • Client-facing consulting experience preferred

Technical Skills

  • Experience with at least four development technologies such as X++, .NET/C#, SSRS, RESTful APIs, SQL, JSON, or other object-oriented languages
  • Experience with implementation technologies like ADO, Visual Studio, D365 F&O functional applications

Other Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and business process analysis capabilities
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
