The Senior Software Engineer / Solutions Architect will be a key member of an enterprise application implementation project team, responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping client business requirements to systems/technical requirements. Prior federal agency experience is required, ideally with experience in digital signature technologies such as DocuSign or Adobe.
The Solution Architect works as part of a team with the Project Manager, Technical SMEs, and supporting team members to deliver complete solutions for the customer. Responsibilities include:
- Providing expert guidance in analysis and design of IT architectures, technology analyses, systems architectures, and strategic planning.
- Supporting cultural change, software distribution, security, data distribution, and business process impact.
- Building component or major solutions of varying sizes and complexities.
- Producing detailed functional design documents aligned with customer requirements.
- Participating in process flow analysis and redesign.
- Sharing best practices and providing consultative support to clients and business lines.
- Completing and co-implementing configuration guides and technical documentation.
- Participating in UAT efforts.
- Assisting in training design, documentation, and delivery.
- Leading project meetings with customers/business lines when needed.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, experienced in API and Web Service integrations, documentation, and collaboration. Must be organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent (preferred).
- 8+ years of enterprise IT application experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on software development, DevOps, or systems architecture.
- Experience with modern and legacy technologies.
- Ability to manage expectations and balance business and financial constraints.
- Experience with Digital Signature technologies (a plus).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (a plus).
- Knowledge of Alfresco EDMS (a plus).
- Experience leading or developing enterprise-scale software using a structured SDLC.
