Job Description

As a Security Guard - Government Patrol - Unarmed in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be a trusted presence, responding to situations as they arise and communicating clearly with both visitors and staff. What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to observe activities and help deter unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor for unusual activity or conditions and report observations according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and assisting visitors as needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents and daily activities as required by the site.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives to relay important information and observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
