Job Description

As a Security Guard - CRE Unarmed Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. You will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining visibly present to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing prompt assistance to those on-site. You will interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. • Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thu 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols
• Assist with site access control and visitor management as required by location guidelines
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities and incidents
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related operations

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check as required by law
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws
• Drug screen required where permitted by law
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only
