Job Description
As a Security Guard - CRE Unarmed Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. You will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining visibly present to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing prompt assistance to those on-site. You will interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and staff, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication at all times. What You’ll Do
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols
- Assist with site access control and visitor management as required by location guidelines
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities and incidents
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related operations

- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background check as required by law
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws
- Drug screen required where permitted by law
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only
