Overview
Manage and execute marketing strategy for Black Rock Mountain Resort and its affiliated entities including the health/social club, events center, and restaurants. Primary responsibilities include comprehensive customer relationship marketing (CRM) efforts, management of digital advertising strategies, local marketing and advertising initiatives, and oversight of social media marketing efforts. The marketing manager will be responsible for KPIs including room revenue generation, membership growth, group/meeting lead generation, and event ticket sales. This role also oversees the development of engaging email campaign content and automation strategies that support targeted marketing initiatives and guest communications.
Essential Functions
- Develop annual marketing plans in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing and operations leaders.
- Develop and manage marketing calendars for Black Rock Mountain Resort and its affiliated entities.
- Execute customer relationship marketing strategies including management of coordinated databases, database growth initiatives, and development of extensive email marketing calendars.
- Oversee digital marketing strategy and digital marketing agency including management of paid media budget and strategy optimizations.
- Manage website(s) including content development and oversight of search engine and generative search optimizations.
- Create and oversee email campaign verbiage, ensuring messaging is on-brand, compelling, and tailored to audience segments.
- Design, implement, and optimize email automations that enhance guest engagement, streamline communications, and support revenue-generating initiatives.
- Develop impactful campaigns and promotions in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing, General Manager, and revenue management team.
- Execute on-property marketing initiatives to increase capture within the resort’s outlets and cross-promote the resort’s entities.
- Oversee social media strategy for the resort and each of its affiliated entities.
- Prepare and effectively communicate monthly marketing performance reports and presentations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage a team of two (2) Social Media Specialists
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant marketing experience. Hospitality marketing experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Computer savvy including experience with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
- Ability to present complex information in a concise manner.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Graphic design experience preferred (InDesign, Illustrator, Canva etc)
- Photo and video editing experience preferred (Photoshop, Premier Pro, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- Knowledge of current social media marketing trends and best practices.
- Experience with email marketing platforms and knowledge of automation workflows.
- Experience managing social media channels for business.
- Outgoing and self-motivated individual with pleasant personality.
Compensation
The compensation for this position is $65,000.00/Yr. - $85,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
