Overview

We have partnered with a dynamic lifestyle hotel in Los Angeles to recruit an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead the HR department and play a vital role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth daily operations and long-term strategic planning.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations, fostering a supportive and respectful workplace environment.
  • Develop and deliver training and development programs that enhance skills and support career growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
  • Manage payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems in partnership with corporate or ownership teams.
  • Collaborate with department heads to anticipate staffing needs and align HR practices with hotel goals.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives that reflect the hotel’s lifestyle brand and culture.
  • Provide guidance to leaders and team members on performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within hospitality or lifestyle-driven industries.
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience leading a team or department.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on HR operations.
