Overview
We have partnered with a dynamic lifestyle hotel in Los Angeles to recruit an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead the HR department and play a vital role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth daily operations and long-term strategic planning.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations, fostering a supportive and respectful workplace environment.
- Develop and deliver training and development programs that enhance skills and support career growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
- Manage payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems in partnership with corporate or ownership teams.
- Collaborate with department heads to anticipate staffing needs and align HR practices with hotel goals.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives that reflect the hotel’s lifestyle brand and culture.
- Provide guidance to leaders and team members on performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within hospitality or lifestyle-driven industries.
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Proven experience leading a team or department.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on HR operations.
