Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a direct hire job with a client in Peachtree City, GA. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of policies and programs across all areas of human resources. This includes employment practices, employee relations, training and development, legal compliance, benefits administration, and other HR-related functions to ensure a productive and legally compliant workplace.
Salary
Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll and administer employee benefits.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of talent to meet organizational staffing needs.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, testing, and selecting candidates.
- Conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive and informed workforce.
- Oversee employment, placement, and transfer processes to fulfill personnel requisitions.
- Evaluate internal and external applicants and present top candidates to management.
- Manage internal job postings and ensure fair recruitment processes.
- Guide supervisors to ensure equitable and compliant interview practices.
- Coordinate external job advertising and maintain associated documentation.
- Promote and maintain effective employee-management relations.
- Develop and enforce employee relations policies in collaboration with leadership.
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Represent the company in administrative law proceedings (e.g., unemployment hearings, EEOC audits).
- Investigate policy violations to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Advise supervisors and managers on the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of employee disciplinary actions.
- Provide guidance on resolving employee relations issues.
- Coordinate management training on interviewing, hiring, termination, performance reviews, workplace safety, and harassment prevention.
- Administer the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and programs.
- Manage the performance review process to ensure equity, consistency, and compliance.
- Oversee compensation and salary administration to maintain internal and external equity.
- Conduct labor market wage surveys to remain competitive in compensation.
- Prepare the HR department budget.
- Manage offboarding processes, including separation documentation and exit interviews.
- Analyze trends in absenteeism and turnover and recommend strategies for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience.
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of human resources disciplines: employment law, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and compliance with federal/state labor laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP) is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and present conclusions clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time to all company sites.
