Location: Pennsylvania (Hybrid/Onsite options available)

Pay Rate: $23.00/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable HR Assistant to support daily human resources functions. This role provides administrative support to the HR team in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be organized, approachable, and eager to grow within the HR field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Post job openings, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates. Assist with background checks, reference verification, and offer letters. Support onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Employee Records & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee files and HR databases. Ensure compliance with federal and Pennsylvania employment laws. Assist with leave tracking (FMLA, PTO, other absences).
  • HR Administration: Prepare HR reports, letters, and communications. Assist employees with routine HR questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures. Support payroll preparation by providing data entry and verification.
  • General Support: Provide administrative support to HR team and management. Help organize HR projects and staff events.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of HR, recruiting, or office administration experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and best practices, including FMLA and EEO compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS or ATS experience a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills.

Schedule & Pay

  • Compensation: $23.00 per hour (non-exempt)
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
