Position Summary

The Senior Business Analyst analyzes business needs and drives business processes, systems, and solutions improvements. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business goals, identifying areas for improvement, defining project requirements, and guiding projects to successful completion. The Senior Business Analyst facilitates communication between technical teams and business units to ensure projects align with objectives and deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including executives, managers, and end-users, to understand business goals and requirements.
  • Conduct analyses of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify improvements.
  • Define and document business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with objectives and feasibility.
  • Develop project charters, business cases, and cost-benefit analyses to support proposals and prioritization.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, process-mapping sessions, and project meetings.
  • Work with IT, development teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Create use cases, process models, data flow diagrams, and other documentation to support initiatives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate them.
  • Support the creation of testing plans, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and verify outcomes meet requirements.
  • Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to team development and process improvements.
  • Monitor project performance and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure objectives are met.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, with involvement in complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, such as process mapping, data modeling, and requirements gathering.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and value-driven outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and respond to shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools (e.g., JIRA), and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.
  • Business Analysis certification is preferred.

Location & Hours

This role is onsite at our Fort Wayne, IN location. Operating hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET. Address: 9138 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809.
