Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Portland, OR is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its Intellectual Property team. This role focuses on technology-related legal disputes, including patents and trade secrets. The ideal candidate will possess both legal expertise and a technical background, providing a valuable combination of analytical and scientific insight into complex legal issues.

Duties:

• Represent clients in high-stakes intellectual property disputes involving patents and trade secrets
• Prepare and review legal filings, discovery materials, and trial strategies
• Conduct legal and technical research
• Participate in hearings, depositions, and court appearances
• Collaborate with cross-office teams on nationwide litigation matters
• Explain complex technological concepts in legal arguments
• Assist with trial preparation and inter partes review proceedings before administrative tribunals

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with federal courts, ITC proceedings, or PTO review processes preferred
• Active member of the Oregon State Bar or eligible for admission

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Technical degree (undergraduate or advanced) preferred

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Oregon
