One of our clients is looking for a Program Director - 3rd Avenue Shelter.

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Position Type: Full-Time / Perm

Schedule: Mon-Fri 09:00am-05:00pm

Job Summary

• The shelter operates 24/7 and empowers women referred by the NYC Department of Homeless Services to obtain permanent housing and develop independent living skills.
• Residents access services such as workshops, counseling, and assistance in securing housing.

Qualifications

• MSW or equivalent degree, LCSW preferred, with at least five years of experience in supportive housing.
• Minimum of five years in a supervisory role in residential settings serving homeless or vulnerable populations, with experience in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, or a combination of both.
• Ability to manage social service programs with substantial budget responsibilities.
• Skills in program design, oversight, personnel management, budgeting, property management, public relations, and government relations.
