The General Manager will oversee all studio functions, including membership & retail sales, instructor performance, and evaluation. They will lead sales efforts, drive membership growth, and develop strategies to prevent member attrition to competitors. The General Manager will hire, train, and manage Sales Associates and utilize discretion and independent judgment in directing all employees & personnel. Fitness experience and/or knowledge of Pilates is preferred but not required.

Position Details:

Title: General Manager

Reports to: District Manager & Director of Sales

Earning Structure: Base salary + monthly bonus opportunity. Base salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000 annually, with additional lucrative bonuses.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of retail, service sales, or fitness sales experience
  • Ability to generate personal sales and train Sales Associates
  • Manage four revenue streams: memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability to a fast-changing, diverse environment
  • Good judgment to recognize areas for improvement
  • Passion for fitness
  • Strong writing, grammar, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computers and studio software
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Trustworthy with confidential information
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others

Responsibilities:

  • Lead lead generation through grassroots marketing and networking
  • Implement sales processes to convert prospects into classes
  • Increase membership sales
  • Manage retail inventory
  • Train and supervise Sales Associates and instructors
  • Use ClubReady for revenue and attendance reports
  • Review instructor evaluations and mentor staff
  • Make high-level customer service decisions
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and organization
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Manage marketing campaigns and studio promotions
  • Participate in community events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
