Senior Leadership Role - Healthcare Architecture Director
Location: Central Houston, TX
Overview:
A nationally recognized design and consulting firm is seeking a seasoned architectural leader to head its healthcare-focused initiatives in Houston. This executive-level position blends strategic oversight, client engagement, and team leadership in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect with deep expertise in healthcare design and a proven ability to drive business development, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-impact projects from concept to completion.

Must hold or be eligible for architectural licensure in Texas Education Requirement:
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
Core Responsibilities:
Shape and implement the strategic direction for healthcare design in the Houston market. Cultivate long-term relationships with healthcare clients and industry partners. Lead business development efforts, including proposal strategy, client presentations, and contract negotiations. Serve as the primary liaison for clients throughout all phases of project delivery. Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and design standards. Guide and mentor architectural staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry best practices. Manage staffing plans and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors. Contribute to fee proposals and lead consultant selection processes.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 20 years in architectural practice, with a strong portfolio in healthcare design. Demonstrated success in client development and project leadership. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong technical knowledge, including building codes and construction methodologies. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and visualization tools; familiarity with BIM workflows. LEED accreditation preferred. Experience managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
