Job Title: Quality Control ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Quality Control Manager to join our team for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) renovation project at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. This federal project involves the conversion of historic dormitories into modern office spaces. The ideal candidate will wear a 'triple hat,' also serving as the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) and Superintendent, ensuring compliance, safety, and execution excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Implement and manage the USACE 3-phase QC system.

Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.

Maintain daily reports and QC documentation.

Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure work meets contract specifications.

Essential Skills

Quality control expertise.

Minimum 5 years of experience on federal construction projects, preferably with USACE.

Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1, USACE protocols, and federal compliance standards.

OSHA 30 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with historic building renovations is highly desirable.

Proven ability to manage QC, safety, and field operations simultaneously.

SSHO and Superintendent experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is located at Fort Sam Houston, focusing on the renovation project converting dormitories into office buildings. The role involves overseeing the construction activities, ensuring quality control, safety, and compliance with federal standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.69/hr.
