Role Summary

As a Software Engineer III in R37, you independently deliver projects from conception to production, working backwards from concrete business goals to design, code, deploy, and operate features that are robust, scalable, and maintainable. You'll find simple solutions to challenging problems and execute work that delivers meaningful business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Execute projects independently:

Take ownership of features and projects from requirements to production, working closely with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.

Build and ship features:

Design straightforward, maintainable code that solves business problems efficiently and integrates well with existing systems.

Deliver with quality:

Write clean, tested code and ensure features perform reliably in production through proper monitoring and operational practices.

Collaborate effectively:

Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into working software.

Grow technical skills:

Continuously improve your technical abilities and contribute to team knowledge through code reviews and technical discussions.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience building and operating large-scale, complicated data platforms or systems

Proficiency in modern programming languages like Python, Java, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin, or C#

Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Strong track record of leading technical projects and mentoring other engineers

Excitement to work in AI-native environment, openness to trying new technologies, and experience building with AI-native tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

Experience in fast paced startup or technology environments

Experience with large-scale data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir, EMR, Athena

Candidates located near one of our talent hubs-San Francisco, New York, Austin, or Chicago-will be scheduled to meet with team members in those locations. For this US-based position, the base pay range is $140,000.00-$220,000.00 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan.
