Patient Care Support Specialist

Patient Care Support Specialist , you will play a crucial role by ensuring that our processes run smoothly and effectively. Work with an inspiring team and utilize cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, all while contributing to our mission of providing exceptional care. Key Responsibilities: Accurately collect and update patient information, including insurance details. Verify insurance on the date of service. Ensure required documents are signed by patients. Upload necessary identification and insurance cards. Manage and maintain medical records effectively. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy. Assist with referral documentation in a timely manner. Follow up with patients concerning specialist appointments and lab results. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals. Participate in the orientation of new staff. Provide excellent customer service to patients and families. Working Hours: Monday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Wednesday: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm Thursday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Saturday: 8:30 am - 2:00 pm Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or higher. 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting. Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Reliable transportation and the ability to cover multiple offices as needed. Flexible availability to work a full-time schedule. Preferred Qualifications: Previous customer service experience. Familiarity with Epic EMR software. Soft Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
