Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

Support a team of software engineers in the development of software products and solutions and technical support

Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team

Contribute to software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of senior team members

Collaborate with the team to meet project objectives, actively participating in code reviews and design discussions

Assist in the documentation of software requirements and specifications, striving for clear and effective communication

Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance and mentorship

Learn and adapt to software development practices and methodologies, actively participating in training programs

Contribute to the implementation of best practices and emerging technologies

Collaborate with team members to enhance your understanding of software architecture and design

Contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and learning environment

Mandatory Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) is required

1-2 years of relevant Mainframe application developer experience is mandatory

Proficiency in 1 or more software programming languages: CICS and/or Cobol

Development methodologies experience: Waterfall and/or Agile

Coding and debugging skills are required

Good technical and analytical skill

Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills

Additional Qualifications:

Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Strong problem-solving mindset

Willingness to learn and adapt to the field

Time management and multitasking ability

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work well within a team

Preferred Diplomas / Studies/ Certifications:

Any exposure or certification in Life and Annuity Insurance domain will be preferred

LOMA will be preferred

Work Environment:

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Our address is: 6901 Windcrest Dr, D2-1E-76 Plano TX 75024. This position is hybrid and requires 2 days commute to our office

Our operational hours are 8 A.M. to 5 P.M CT Monday – Friday
