Job Description
Viridian Staffing's Client is currently seeking an Office Manager, with exceptional payroll and Microsoft Excel experience, to help manage a fast paced cannabis company about 20 minutes north of the Ukiah, California, area. Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing ( is the premier staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day activities of the office including but not limited to ordering supplies, inventory tracking/METRC management, billing/invoicing, on-boarding of new personnel, processing payroll, working with the appropriate California legislative agencies to ensure compliance with new updates, preparing orders/deliveries, month end reporting, and managing some vendor relationships. You should have at least 2+ years of office management experience, including the handling of payroll. Ideally, you also have 1 year of Bookkeeping experience. If you are proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, including Excel, scheduling, payroll, and have a positive, patient, and 'roll up your sleeves' attitude, this could be the right position for you. Exceptional communication, organizational and problem-skills are required. Experience as an office manager for a licensed regulated Cannabis facility in California is preferred. - Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for data entry for 8 hours or more, some lifting, squatting, bending, some pushing and pulling.
- Must be able to move and rearrange objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to twist, turn, pull, stand, and kneel
- According to the State Laws of California, you must be at least 21 years of age to work for a licensed cannabis operation.
