Description

We are seeking a versatile and technically skilled IT & CAD Systems Administrator to support both general IT infrastructure and specialized CAD environments. This hybrid role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, engineering-focused environment. The successful candidate will provide end-user technical support, manage IT systems, and administer CAD platforms including Autodesk software. Key Responsibilities:

IT Support & Systems Administration

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols.
  • Support video conferencing tools, printers, and other office technology.
  • Troubleshoot complex network-based loading issues with confidence and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain virtualized server environments.

CAD Administration & Technical Support

  • Administer Autodesk Vault environments, including configuration, deployment, and data migration.
  • Support Autodesk platforms such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Factory Design, ReCap, Vault, Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of CAD tools with enterprise systems.
  • Manage large data sets and support Leica scanner data transfer/conversion and software workflows.

Workflow Optimization & Automation

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities using scripts, LISP routines, or APIs to streamline CAD and IT workflows.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to support company growth and digital transformation.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain internal knowledge bases for both IT and CAD systems.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Interface with third-party vendors and support teams to resolve issues and lead technical projects.
  • Work closely with engineers and design professionals, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for supporting their success.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Required:

  • Associate or bachelors degree in information technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support and/or CAD administration.
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote desktop tools.
  • Experience with Autodesk software platforms and data management tools like Autodesk Vault.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Autodesk Certified Professional.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Familiarity with CAD/BIM workflows, version control, and digital delivery processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as IFS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage vendor relationships.
