We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and help us push the boundaries of what’s possible in autonomous driving. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to solve complex challenges for autonomous driving and drive strategic decision-making. Your work will be supported by massive data from our autonomous fleet to deliver the best autonomous driving solution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and apply advanced data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques to solve complex problems related to autonomous driving systems.

Analyze large datasets generated by vehicle sensors to improve self-driving algorithms.

Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineers, product teams) to design and optimize algorithms and models.

Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering to ensure high-quality input for model development.

Evaluate model performance and implement strategies for improvement, including tuning and retraining models with new data.

Develop data pipelines and visualization tools to monitor model performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Collaborate on the design and development of real-time data processing systems that support autonomous driving operations.

Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and autonomous driving technologies, and apply them to improve our products.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).

3-5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.

Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and neural networks.

Hands-on experience with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib).

Ability to work with large, complex datasets and perform data wrangling and cleaning.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply analytical thinking to self-driving challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with reinforcement learning and decision-making algorithms for autonomous systems.

Familiarity with autonomous vehicle testing, simulation, and real-world data collection.

Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks.

Understanding of control systems, robotics, and navigation algorithms.

Previous experience in the autonomous driving, robotics, or automotive industry.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $179,400-$303,600, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
