Overview
Boutique Workers’ Compensation and Employment Firm seeks a legal assistant/ case manager for our Workers’ Compensation Department. Must have 1+ years of experience. The successful candidate will have experience processing all aspects of a workers’ compensation case under the direction of an experienced attorney and with the assistance of a support team. We are looking for a results-driven individual, who works well under pressure, and can prioritize and balance competing demands. Must be Spanish speaking. Responsibilities
Preparing applications; petitions; DORs (including e-filing) Drafting written correspondence Scheduling depositions; scheduling medical appointments, including AME and PQME evaluations Requesting QME Panels IMR appeals, preparing outgoing correspondence and schedules of records Maintaining and organizing files, and managing case files from intake to settlement Communicating with clients and opposing counsel and fielding incoming calls Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and possess excellent writing skills Preparing the files for the attorney for upcoming hearings MerusCase familiarity is a plus Qualifications
1+ years of experience in workers’ compensation or a related field Must be Spanish speaking Benefits and Compensation
