Overview
Storage Engineer - Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Storage Engineer supporting the Government to engineer solutions for storage devices and backup technologies, and to automate data share and access management. This role supports Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA. Responsibilities
Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation of next generation Storage and Backup systems, both on and off premise Collaborate with the Government Technical Leads, storage vendors, and cloud providers to evaluate emerging technologies Develop and maintain the storage demonstration environment in the designated test lab Develop test plans to assess storage systems and backup solutions Participate in root cause analysis for significant problems and provide clear recommendations for improvements Provide storage upgrade recommendations and project integration support Provide Tier 3 & 4 support to existing storage and backup systems Conduct system security engineering activities with a Storage/SAN focus Install, monitor, and tune storage solutions to obtain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) Requirements
Education: High School Diploma + 10 years or Associate's +8 years or Bachelor's +6 years or Master's +4 years or PhD +2 years of industry experience DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements: Security+ CE In-depth knowledge of NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cohesity, Rubrik, NetBackup, Hyperconverged (VxRail, Nutanix) Experience with full life cycle SAN administration, architecture, and support including storage utilization, capacity planning Experience with virtual environments (VMware) Familiarity with Cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, or Oracle) Demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of technology areas including Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration, and Disaster Recovery Some travel required Benefits
