Robotics & Digital Solutions is a part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, recruiting for a Systems Integration Engineer with a focus on mechatronics systems, located in Santa Clara, CA. The Systems Integration Engineer will support sustaining and development of OTTAVA's robotic surgical subsystems, focusing on planning and implementation of subsystem integration activities, bring-up of proof-of-concept builds, root-cause analysis, and development of new hardware functional test methods. This is an opportunity to shape OTTAVA\'s capabilities and the future of surgical robotics. Core Job Responsibilities

Plan and implement subsystem-level integration activities for proof-of-concepts Analyze, root cause, resolve and document novel integrative issues arising from subsystems of focus by collaborating with various teams Support development and feasibility demonstration of new test methods and fixtures for subsystem-level integration uses and/or functional test processes Conduct engineering studies to de-risk the design across proof-of-concepts to product candidates; analyze results and provide meaningful feedback to design teams Qualifications

A BS in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics) or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree (MS/PhD) with 1+ year of related experience Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems design, implementation and integration Experience with electrical sensors and mechanical actuators Basic programming skills in Python and/or C++ Experience planning and implementing subsystem-level integration activities for proof-of-concepts is preferred Ability to analyze, root cause, resolve and document integrative issues collaboratively with cross-functional teams Experience supporting development and feasibility demonstration of new test methods and fixtures for subsystem-level integration or functional testing Experience conducting engineering studies to de-risk designs and provide feedback to design teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 is highly preferred On-site work in Santa Clara, CA is required Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 130,000 to 165,600 USD in California Bay Area. Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
