You will actively contribute to the code base while actively collaborating with team members and customers. You\'ll use your critical thinking skills to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that give Fidelity a strategic edge.
The Expertise We\'re Looking For
10+ years of relative experience
Curious about writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code
Experience with middleware Java stack, messaging technologies and web containers such as Spring Boot
Experience with client-side tech stack: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, Angular and NGRX
Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to CI/CD tools
Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and engineering excellence
Ability to write performance test scripts with: JMeter, Groovy scripting, Shell scripting, Bash
Sound understanding of Linux OS and SQL (including PL/SQL) with Oracle SQL
Java and Spring Boot proficiency; experience with Kafka and AWS
Experience with AWS components (EC2, EKS, ASG, ALB, EBS, S3), CloudWatch, and CloudFormation
In-depth knowledge of Wiremock, Handlebars templating, and Datadog (logs, metrics, dashboards, API usage)
Database tuning and SQL profiling tools (SQL Developer, TOAD, IntelliJ, OEM, AWR)
Profiling tools: JProfiler, Dynatrace; networking: Wireshark; performance tools: JMeter, LoadRunner
JVM tuning, GC/Heap analysis, and knowledge of various garbage collection methods
Git workflow proficiency, branching/merging, and CI/CD with Jenkins
Strong Linux, Kubernetes, SSH/scp usage, and network protocols (TCP/IP/UDP)
REST API experience (Postman, Swagger), and problem-solving with minimal supervision

Apply Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)
Identify bottlenecks and bugs; address them effectively
Communicate clearly and solve problems; knowledge of migrating from monoliths to microservices

Lead design and implementation of software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements aligned to program strategy
Lead application design efforts; participate in design reviews and code reviews
Engage in product quality plans, including test case development and testing
Improve engineering practices in ATDD and CI/CD; collaborate with distributed teams
