The role is based in Lynchburg, VA, and seeks a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt to lead continuous improvement within BWXT’s corporate salary support organizations and guide cross-functional teams. Your Role

As the Corporate OpEx Black Belt, you will guide cross-functional teams across finance & accounting, human resources, supply chain, contracts, corporate affairs, IT, legal & compliance, regulatory affairs, and EHS & security to amplify performance and efficiency across business processes. Spot Opportunities for Growth:

Dive into the value stream to identify improvement opportunities that align with BWXT's Key Performance Indicators. Lead Kaizen Events:

Assemble teams, facilitate Process Kaizen events, and document outcomes to drive enhancements. Define Value:

Clarify value for various functional areas and groups to increase organizational effectiveness. Visualize Success:

Use value stream mapping and process mapping to distinguish Value-Add (VA) from Non-Value Add (NVA) activities. Eliminate Waste:

Identify and eradicate waste using visual management, 5S, and standard work principles across all levels of the organization. Empower Through Training:

Develop and deliver Kaizen training programs to empower the workforce and foster an improvement culture. Required Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in continuous improvement. Lean Six Sigma Proficiency:

A Black Belt certification is required. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:

Demonstrated potential for leadership and ability to build effective relationships. Proactive Implementer:

Ability to implement improvements and manage multiple Kaizen events within deadlines. Problem Solving with Ease:

Ability to lead teams through challenging situations and propose impactful improvements. On-Site Role:

$66,000 – $101,000 The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $66,000 and $101,000 per year. The base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience and other objective considerations. The total compensation package may also include incentives and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits. Details will be provided with an offer. If hired, the selected candidate will be employed at-will unless governed by a collective bargaining agreement. BWXT reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation or benefits at any time.
