Director, Practice Growth & Integration
serves as a strategic connector between business development and operational execution, integrating private medical practices—particularly in oncology and oncology-adjacent specialties. This leader supports the full acquisition lifecycle—from strategic planning and deal execution through post-acquisition integration and stabilization—while providing direct operational oversight during the stabilization period to ensure alignment with pro forma targets and long-term success. The role leverages internal resources and partnerships to build repeatable integration playbooks, communications, analytics, and governance that drive measurable outcomes. Active Involvement Collaborates with leadership to identify and evaluate growth opportunities. Supports due diligence and negotiations. Oversees integration, onboarding, operational readiness and performance ramp-up post go-live. Key Responsibilities Support Business Development & Acquisitions Build relationships with practice owners, brokers, and advisors to sustain a high-quality pipeline. Support operational due diligence with emphasis on strategically imperative metrics (e.g., new patient access, infusion volumes, radiation therapy capacity, clinical trial participation). Develop acquisition proposals and integration plans tailored to practice needs. Facilitate contract execution in partnership with legal/finance and executive stakeholders. Practice Integration & Operations Contribute to the design and implementation of onboarding frameworks (IT/EMR integration, clinical protocols, patient navigation workflows, financial reporting, physician compensation alignment). Collaborate with clinical leaders to align operations with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Monitor post-acquisition performance, diagnose variances, and implement corrective actions. Ensure participation in and compliance with program standards (e.g., asset utilization, EOM, VBC, clinical guidelines). Establish and improve integration playbooks, RACI/operating mechanisms, and cross-functional communication cadences. Strategic Planning & Leadership Partner with executive leadership to refine end-to-end integration roadmap. Lead cross-functional teams through diligence, onboarding, cutover, and stabilization. Provide performance, risk, and mitigation updates for stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA/MHA or clinical oncology background preferred. 7+ years of experience in healthcare business development, acquisitions, or practice operations. 3+ years of experience in a Director-level or above position. Proven track record leading M&A transactions and integrating medical practices. Strong understanding of practice management, revenue cycle processes, reimbursement models, clinical workflows, and compliance. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills; adept at influencing across diverse groups. Preferred Attributes Experience with surgical specialties, infusion centers, radiation oncology, or hematology-oncology practices. Familiarity with oncology EMR systems (e.g., iKnowMed, G2, AthenaIDX). Ability to travel regionally for site visits and relationship management.
