Korn Ferry has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a
Corporate Controller
on behalf of a steadily growing medical device manufacturing client based on the northwest side of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Open due to an internal promotion, this role will join the finance leadership team as the leader of all things accounting. The Corporate Controller will take ownership of full-cycle accounting, GAAP compliance, and serve as the audit liaison, while guiding and developing a growing accounting team. This leader will work closely with senior management to enhance financial performance, support strategic initiatives, and establish the processes and controls needed as the company scales, operating as a key financial leader during a period of strong growth. Responsibilities
Lead the accounting function, overseeing all general ledger, month-end close, technical accounting issues, and consolidated financial statement preparation Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance in internal and external reporting, including Board packages Manage relationships with external auditors, tax providers, and third-party service partners Own the company’s internal control environment, documenting processes, identifying risks, and maintaining best-practice policies Partner with the CFO to analyze and interpret financial results, providing actionable insights to senior leadership Drive continuous improvement in accounting operations, streamlining processes, and implementing effective systems Support financial due diligence and integration in M&A activity Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA required 12+ years of progressive accounting/audit experience, including at least 5 years in manufacturing or life sciences environments ($100M+ scale) Public accounting background (2+ years preferred) Proven success leading accounting teams and building strong financial processes in high-growth companies Expertise in GAAP, consolidations, revenue recognition, and technical accounting Strong project management experience, with the ability to coordinate new initiatives and system improvements Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across the organization Location
