Overview

The Department of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University and The MetroHealth System seeks board-certified (or board-eligible) psychiatrists (outpatient) to provide clinical care to adult patients, and to teach residents, medical students and other learners. The position comes with a faculty appointment at Case Western Reserve University at an appropriate level. There will be opportunities for academic and career development at the largest medical research institution in Ohio. The MetroHealth System is ranked nationally among the top 1% of hospitals. Responsibilities

Provide clinical care to adult outpatients. Teach residents, medical students and other learners. Participate in the development of novel clinical and academic programs aligned with department plans. Embrace opportunities for academic interests and experience in somatic treatment modalities. Physician-scientists may receive protected research time if extramural funding is secured; protected time for promising candidates will be decided on a case-by-case basis. All candidates will receive mentoring and support for academic advancement. The department has relocated to a brand new 112-bed Behavioral Health Hospital in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Qualifications

Board-certified (or board-eligible) psychiatrists with an interest in outpatient care and academic activities, including somatic treatment modalities. Commitment to teaching and scholarly pursuits. Ability to participate in a College of Medicine faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience. Benefits and Environment
