As a Product Manager for the Prime Video Experience Team, you will help define and build the video playback roadmap and customer experience for live video across all devices and geographies. You will participate in developing the live video strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is cross-functional; you will work closely with engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance the customer experience. We are looking for someone with experience in one or more areas of core video playback (encoding, delivery, live broadcast, ads insertion, client playback), who is highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and able to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of the Prime Video customer, existing and potential. Develop a thorough understanding of digital video market segments; continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends. Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and supporting metrics to deliver and enhance a best-in-class digital video customer experience. Own the development of detailed product requirements documents. Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap. Drive projects, products, and feature launches across multiple teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of technical product or program management experience 2+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product Experience representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning Experience managing technical products or online services Bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
