Full Time Regular/Temporary: The Department of Neurology in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia is actively seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, as a board certified/board eligible full-time Neurology physician to join our faculty specializing in Movement Disorders. This position focuses on clinical care, teaching, and academic duties within the Medical College of Georgia and the Department of Neurology. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track. Responsibilities

Patient Care/Service: Pursuing the faculty member's passion as related to our clinical, research, and educational missions. Provide high-quality, comprehensive care in neurology movement disorders to improve quality, safety and patient satisfaction. Participate in assigned clinical duties: evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with movement disorders in the outpatient clinic. Meet all metrics associated with Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), including attendance at quality meetings, proper management of documentation, completion of online compliance training, attendance at faculty meetings, etc. Meet and maintain productivity targets as set by the department chair and MCG Dean's Office through clinical services provided. Promote professional relationships and build referral patterns with Augusta University physicians and physicians outside of Augusta University. Provide prompt feedback to referring physicians. Teaching/Instruction: Provide education and training to residents, medical students and staff, including clinical supervision, consultation and didactics. Achieve and maintain teaching evaluation scores at or above the department mean. Attend 50% or more weekly neurology Grand Rounds presentations and monthly faculty meetings. Required Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution. Must have or be able to obtain a medical license in the state of Georgia, obtain a federal DEA, and be CPR certified. Board eligible or certified in Neurology. Movement Disorders Fellowship. Successful candidates will have a proven history of excellent clinical skills, involvement with clinical research, and strong desire to be involved with resident teaching. Assistant Professor

- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training. Associate Professor

- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Professor

- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Please note: Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions include evidence of teaching ability, scholarly activity, and ability in all other duties assigned, with consideration of candidate experience and qualifications. Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in clinical evaluation of movement disorders. Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements, and subject to the availability of funds. Tuition Assistance Program may be available for full-time employees after six months of employment.
