Open Rank- Clinical Faculty in Neurology - Memory Disorders Location: Augusta University, Augusta, GA. Full time. This position is for a board-certified/board-eligible Neurology physician joining the Memory/Cognitive Disorders faculty. The appointment rank may be Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, based on qualifications. The role emphasizes clinical care and teaching; it does not meet tenure-track requirements. Responsibilities

Patient Care/Service: Pursue clinical, research, and educational missions related to memory/cognitive disorders. Provide high-quality, comprehensive neurology memory/cognitive disorders care to improve quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Participate in assigned clinical duties: evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in outpatient clinics; inpatient and outpatient service coverage; night/weekend/holiday call coverage. Meet Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) metrics, including attendance at quality meetings, documentation standards, compliance training, and faculty meetings. Maintain productivity targets as set by department leadership and the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) Dean's Office. Foster professional relationships and build referral patterns with physicians inside and outside Augusta University; provide prompt feedback to referring physicians. Teaching/Instruction: Educate and supervise residents, medical students, and staff, including clinical supervision, consultations, and didactics. Aim for teaching evaluation scores at or above department mean. Attend 50% or more of weekly neurology Grand Rounds and monthly faculty meetings. Required Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent from an accredited institution. Fellowship in Memory/Cognitive Disorders. Current medical license in Georgia or the ability to obtain it, and current federal DEA and CPR certification. Demonstrated history of excellent clinical skills, involvement in clinical research, and commitment to resident teaching. Rank definitions: Assistant Professor — Early career faculty with appropriate post-graduate training. Associate Professor — Mid-career faculty with at least five years at Assistant Professor or equivalent. Professor — Senior career faculty with at least five years at Associate Professor or equivalent. General faculty employment qualifications (USG institutions): Alignment with SACSCOC accreditation requirements. Evidence of teaching ability and scholarly activity; ability to fulfill duties assigned. Successful experience appropriate for rank; consideration given to those entering academia with other qualifying credentials. Desirable personal qualities assessed during interview and review of biographical data and recommendations. Shift/Salary/Benefits

This is a fiscal-year based, year-round position with a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 1.0. Salary and compensation depend on education, experience, and achievements and are subject to fund availability.
