Overview
Experience Manager (EM) at Ulta Beauty is a leadership role focused on delivering top-line sales growth across services, boutiques, and retail, while maintaining exceptional guest experience and satisfaction. The EM leads a team including stylists, estheticians, guest coordinators (select locations), Assistant Services Managers (select stores), Sales Managers and boutique leads, aligning with Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values. The EM is responsible for Net Promoter Score (NPS) and guest experience, driving performance, people development, and process adherence to achieve store goals. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
(Essential Job Functions) The EM champions Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values and performs the following duties and responsibilities, as well as other assigned tasks: Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed store goals related to services, boutiques, retail sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty. Drive profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control. Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support scheduling and communicate needs to the General Manager to maximize productivity and meet sales and payroll targets. Address underperforming metrics in services, boutiques, retail sales, loyalty, store visits, and audits by developing improvement strategies using company programs and tools. Support direct reports in developing and maintaining clienteles. Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest service. Stay informed on industry trends and products; be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests. Maintain prompt, regular attendance and enforce Ulta Beauty attendance policy. People
Attract, hire, retain, and source a diverse team for the salon and boutiques; address staffing needs and open positions. Build an engaged team aligned with Ulta Beauty brand through collaboration, communication, and coaching to drive guest loyalty. Create an inclusive environment encouraging associate growth and engagement. Support development, training, feedback, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning to enable continuous development and sales performance. Participate in ongoing training to enable professional development and sales performance. Establish professional relationships with peers and brand partners to achieve sales and service goals. Model teamwork and guest service excellence; provide clear direction and share best practices. Execute the Guest Engagement Leader program through ownership, coaching, and leading a helpful guest experience to drive APG metrics. Process
Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards, including Infection Control Policy. Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code. Use scheduling tools to create and adjust schedules, manage attendance, and deploy the right associates to optimize guest experience and sales while controlling loss. Use task management tools to prioritize workload, including product and marketing resets, pricing updates, inventory tasks, cleaning, and replenishment. Protect company assets and minimize loss by meeting store standards and procedures, including safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention. Manage day-to-day inventory control processes and theft reporting as needed. Support continuous improvement through adoption of company initiatives and technology, communicate expectations, and ensure task execution. Use company programs and resources to drive store improvements; communicate trends and opportunities to field leadership. Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree is preferred; Cosmetology license and/or cosmetology management license where required by state law. Experience 2-3+ years of relevant, fast-paced retail management or equivalent experience; financial management including driving top-line sales, data interpretation, payroll budgeting, and expense control; cosmetology management with advanced service knowledge and regulatory awareness; retail management including inventory and service culture; leadership in attracting, developing, and motivating talent. Skills Proficient with basic technology (POS, Microsoft Office, Apple devices); excellent written and verbal communication; strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills; ability to work under pressure and adapt to change. Special Position Requirements Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; attend corporate meetings and conferences. Working Conditions

Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour, with eligibility for additional compensation under the company bonus plan.
