Overview
The Department of Cardiology, Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites a clinician-scientist to join our echocardiography section. The successful candidate will have clinical, academic, and research responsibilities focused on echocardiography within the Non-Invasive Cardiology section of the Department of Cardiology, with skill in the performance and interpretation of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. For those with pre-requisite training and certification, there may be opportunities to participate in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT interpretations. The ideal candidate will also have a productive research program in cardiac imaging and may support care in ambulatory clinics. We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs. The total pay range shown accounts for knowledge, skills, experience, education/certifications/licensure, and other factors. This range includes any applicable incentive payments and a comprehensive faculty benefits package. Pay Range:
$365,000-$600,000 Total Cash Compensation. Responsibilities
Perform and interpret transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography with skill and clinical judgment. Support academic, scholarly, and educational activities within the department, including potential involvement in cardiac MRI and CT interpretations for qualified individuals. Develop and maintain a productive research program focused on cardiac imaging. Contribute to clinical care in ambulatory clinics as appropriate. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA cardiology and subspecialty training in echocardiography. Board certified with the ABIM in cardiology and board certified in echocardiography. Eligible for an unrestricted California license as Physician. Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of California. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Eligible for appointment to the appropriate academic rank at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff. Proven clinical excellence and knowledge in cardiology practice. Experience supporting medicine postgraduate fellowship training. Track record of peer-reviewed publications and continued academic work.
