The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine seeks an endocrinologist with interest or expertise in pituitary/adrenal disorders to join our practice. This is an academic position on the clinical track emphasizing patient care for pituitary and adrenal disorders; instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows; and scholarly activities such as quality improvement and clinical research. The division is recognized for adrenal and pituitary disorders, thyroid cancer, diabetes, metabolic bone disease, obesity, women’s health, and other hormone conditions. Division Overview

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism has been recognized for excellence by U.S. News and World Report. We are committed to clinical care, education, and research, with programs in adrenal and pituitary disorders, thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, obesity, and metabolic bone disease. The Division is supported by the College of Medicine, Wexner Medical Center, and The James Cancer Hospital. Duties and Responsibilities

This is an academic position on the clinical track emphasizing patient care for endocrine patients with a focus on adrenal and pituitary disorders; instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows; and basic or clinical research. Additional duties include e-consults and inpatient consults. Requirements

Candidates must have an MD or DO. Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology. Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level – rank and salary commensurate with training and experience. Faculty Defined

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank)

– Titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, and professor-clinical. Clinical faculty focus on clinical care, teaching, and may include research. They are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank)

– Titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or have tenure. Primary focus is on research, service, and teaching; may be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty (regardless of rank)

– Titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. Not eligible for tenure; focus is on research. The Ohio State University College of Medicine
