The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting general endocrinologists, general endocrinologists with a focus on diabetes, and an endocrinologist clinician/researcher to join our practice. The division is recognized in clinical and research programs in thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, neuroendocrine tumors, metabolic bone disease, women’s health, and other hormone conditions. This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care to general endocrinology patients; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and supports basic or clinical research. This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care to endocrine patients with a focus on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and supports basic or clinical research. Additional duties include thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspirations, e-consults, and inpatient consults. Requirements
Candidates must have an MD or DO Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience. Faculty Defined
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank)
– Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned an MD, DO, PhD or other terminal degree. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank)
– Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), MD, DO or other terminal degree. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty (regardless of rank)
– Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years.
