As a Director, Business Development, Agentic, you will play a foundational role in scaling the agentic commerce ecosystem at Mastercard, one of the world's most trusted and innovative payments networks. You will work at the intersection of AI, commerce, payments, and platforms to drive long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital payments, fintechs, AI platforms, and digital assets. Support the execution of Mastercard's agentic commerce business development strategy, in close coordination with product, account management, engineering, marketing, and legal Identify, evaluate, and drive strategic partnerships across AI platforms, consumer agents, retailers, commerce infrastructure, and developer ecosystems Manage partner relationships end-to-end—from initial engagement through deal structuring, co-development, launch, and growth phases Be a voice of the partner internally—channeling feedback, use-case insights, and market trends to influence product and platform strategy Support development of scalable partnership programs and frameworks that enable rapid expansion across verticals and geographies Collaborate across a global, matrixed organization, working with autonomy All about You

Experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or platform ecosystem roles Experience working at a leading commerce, fintech, platform, or AI company Proven track record of managing complex partnerships in fast-moving technology environments Experience working with or in product-led organizations, with a strong understanding of APIs, developer ecosystems, or platform dynamics Entrepreneurial mindset with deep interest in AI agents, evolving commerce models, and customer behavior trends Knowledge of the Agentic/LLM-powered ecosystem, including tools, orchestration platforms, and agent frameworks A systems thinker who can operate at both strategic and executional levels Adept at communicating complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating cross-functional collaboration Ability to effectively navigate new and ambiguous environments Collaborative team player with a winning mindset Why Join Us

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full-time (and certain part-time) employees generally include: insurance (medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
