Viltis is seeking a motivated
Scientist I (Analytical Chemistry)
to join its team in St. Paul, MN. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience performing chemical and physical testing to support routine manufacturing, quality control, and engineering projects. You’ll work with advanced analytical instruments in a GMP laboratory environment and develop your expertise under the guidance of senior scientists. Base pay range:
$29.00/hr - $30.00/hr Max Pay Rate:

Full-Time | 100% Onsite About the Role Responsibilities
Perform
wet chemistry testing
of incoming raw materials/chemicals per
USP methodologies . Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation such as
HPLC/UPLC ,
GC ,
FT-IR ,
ICP ,
DSC , and
TGA
in a high-throughput environment. Follow written
test methods and SOPs
to execute routine laboratory tests in
GMP conditions . Document, analyze, and report test results using
LabVantage LIMS
and other systems. Conduct daily and monthly laboratory maintenance, verifications, and maintain chemical inventory. Assist senior scientists with
method development
and
validation
of test methods. Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional team members. Cross-train on additional analytical techniques to expand skills. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Chemistry
or a closely related field. 0–2 years of demonstrated experience in
wet chemistry
or routine laboratory work. Ability to operate analytical instrumentation gained through coursework or industry experience. Experience documenting laboratory work in
electronic or paper notebooks
according to
GMP guidelines . Proficiency with
MS Office , especially
Excel
for data analysis/statistics. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities. Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with
Waters HPLC or UPLC
systems and
Empower software . Strong documentation skills in
electronic or lab notebooks . Familiarity with
method development
or
validation . Working Conditions
100% onsite
at Abbott’s St. Paul, MN laboratory. Work in a lab environment with appropriate safety equipment. Regular sitting, standing, lifting, and carrying as part of daily lab activities. Handling of common laboratory chemicals and biological materials. Job Details
