Job Summary
As an Assembler, you will work under general supervision to build complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical subsystems. This hands-on role includes assembly, troubleshooting, and testing procedures for advanced sensing products used in high-stakes applications such as navigation, surveillance, and threat detection.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and instructions to perform assembly tasks.
Assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and mechanical components.
Perform precise bonding and curing procedures.
Operate and monitor test equipment and instrumentation.
Inspect finished components and ensure all work meets quality standards.
Execute detailed test and verification procedures using automated systems.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
12 years of hands-on experience in a related technical or manufacturing field.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for short durations.
Demonstrated ability to learn on the job and adapt quickly.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Associates degree (A.S.) in a related technical field.
Prior experience in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing.
Required Skills
Meticulous attention to detail in assembly and testing tasks.
Familiarity with electronic components, tools, and test equipment.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and engineering documentation.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with bonding, curing, and optical component handling.
Understanding of electro-optical and opto-mechanical systems.
Additional Skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in teams.
Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and product lines.
