Blue Sky Outdoor is a well-established, local company that sells high-end shade products and outdoor furnishings, including commercial-grade umbrellas, cabanas, and custom-designed pergolas. Our clients are upscale consumers, Restaurants, Hotels, Clubs, Design firms, and Contractors. We have been in business for 20+ years, with strong upward sales momentum. Opportunity

We are looking for an individual to take over all post-sales activities and day-to-day operations of the company, to ensure our customers receive the best possible experience with our products and services, and that the business runs smoothly. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right individual to have a significant impact on the success of the business by competently managing all internal and external company resources. Responsibilities

Project Management : Recruit, train, and manage internal warehouse and delivery staff as well as external sub-contractors and potentially an internal team of installers for the pergolas. Act as the key liaison and manage all post-sales communications with Vendors, Contractors, Salespeople, and Delivery staff. For all products, answer or track down answers to questions arising in the field from sub-contractors and internal installers, and assist customers with post-installation issues. Pergolas : Meet on-site with all Pergola clients after each sale to establish relationships and finalize project details; bring the installer foreman to the job site before installation to familiarize them with the project and introduce them to the client; be present on-site on the first day of installation and conduct frequent site visits to inspect progress and keep customers informed; be present on completion day to review operation with the customer; photograph projects after completion; research and file permits as needed with assistance from engineering and other experts. Logistics : Use digital management tools (including Pipedrive, Monday, OneDrive, Project Status spreadsheets, QuickBooks); verify that orders match specifications and that vendor acknowledgments align with Purchase Orders; track vendor production status and coordinate shipments to optimize cost and rates; inform customers of delivery dates; organize and label deliveries and manage shipments beyond local delivery areas; manage installation and delivery schedules and daily task lists for staff; plan efficient delivery routes and staffing; schedule part-time employees and track hours; manage spare parts inventory. Product Procurement : Order auxiliary materials for projects (such as lights and heaters) and manage shipping and delivery to the warehouse and job site. Collaboration : Coordinate with other contractors on project sites (e.g., landscape contractors) where our pergolas are installed. Customer Success : Prioritize customer service and maintain clear communication about timelines and processes from post-sales to delivery to installation/setup. Product and Service Expert : Serve as in-house expert on all products and services (Pergola, Umbrella, and Furniture). Maintain knowledge of product specifications, installation, and service procedures; train others and perform minor repairs as needed. Process and Installation Manual : Develop and maintain a detailed manual outlining business processes and installation/service procedures; this will support training for new employees and subcontractors. Qualifications and Skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain the big picture. Project-management and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, get-it-done attitude. Proactive, able to determine what needs to be done and follow through to completion. Tenacious and driven to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Comfortable wearing multiple hats; broad range of skills that vary day-to-day. Entrepreneurial work ethic and willingness to do tasks yourself when needed. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable with online business applications (QuickBooks, Pipedrive or similar CRM, Excel) and ability to learn new technologies quickly. Team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Experience in Building Products and/or Outdoor Furnishings industries is beneficial but not essential. Benefits
