About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor to work in our Metal Finishing and Deburring Department. This position is suitable for candidates with minimal manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a repetitive environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our product leaves the facility packaged and labeled correctly. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the day-to-day functions of the Metal Finishing and Deburring department, and provide hands-on expertise and assistance. The role will work closely with a variety of personnel to ensure departmental goals are met.

What You’ll Do

• Make recommendations for workflow efficiencies; enforce policies and procedures; provide leadership to the team.
• Develop and maintain best practices to ensure the department produces high quality results.
• Promote safety awareness among employees, and ensure company safety standards are consistently met on every project.
• Interact and communicate with the team in a professional and supportive manner.
• Assist in the preparation of new machine orders (assembly, testing, etc.).
• Organize, plan, and develop strategies to promote efficiency and flow through the department.
• Participate in weekly production meetings, in the absence of the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and/or relevant work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely with supplies and equipment.
• We will train for the position.
• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar experience.
• One or more years supervising others.
• Knowledge of various types of metals - a plus.
