Role

COMSEC Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly capable COMSEC Security Specialist who will act as the COMSEC account manager for multiple Government contracts. The role reports to the Vice President of Software and Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing Communication Security programs, including key management systems and hardware security to protect secure information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure COMSEC accounts are in strict compliance with physical security, COMSEC record keeping, and proper handling and storage of classified keying material, policy and procedures.
• Receive, store, inventory, transfer, and destruction of all classified COMSEC material, cryptographic keys, and control cryptographic items.
• Manage the five elements of COMSEC operations: Cryptographic Security, Transmission Security (TRANSEC), Physical Security, Emission Security (EMSEC), and Traffic Flow Security.
• Collaborate with other security and IT personnel, including the Facility Security Officer, supporting U.S. Government programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years serving as a COMSEC account manager in the U.S. military or private industry.
• Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication.
• KMI course certificate.
• Standardized COMSEC Custodian course certificate.

Bonus

• Experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Alternate FSO (AFSO).
• Completion of standardized FSO training (e.g., FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities).
• Knowledge of NISPOM and DCSA security requirements.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Salary ranges are informed by professional salary surveys. The actual base salary offered will depend on experience, credentials, education, skill level, and the level of the position.

USD $120,000 - $140,000
