Overview
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Duties
The VA anesthesiologist is responsible for direct provision of perioperative anesthetic care. The physician should be proficient and privileged in all aspects of anesthesiology. The anesthesiologist will provide perioperative care, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic, administration and monitoring of post-anesthesia care in compliance with national accreditation standards. The anesthesiologist will provide expert consultation and guidance to CRNA, nursing, and other medical staff in the administration of anesthesia. Fellowship trained anesthesiologists are expected to practice in their anesthesia subspecialty. Benefits and Compensation
