Responsibilities This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

The attending anesthesiologist is charged with delivering the best possible anesthesia care to our Veteran inpatients and outpatients. This care must be delivered in accordance with hospital policy and must meet community standards. The attending anesthesiologist performs pre-operative and pre-procedural anesthetic risk assessment. Evaluation includes obtaining relevant history, performing physical exam, reviewing vital signs, lab values and all other relevant diagnostic studies prior to surgery. Appropriate notes are written in the patient\'s medical record. The attending anesthesiologist provides direct anesthesia services including the administration of anesthetic agents, and performance of procedures including but not limited to:
Provide anesthesia care including pre-operative assessment, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia care as appropriate.
