Job Summary:
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Heart Institute (H.I.) leadership team to develop and operationalize growth strategies and priorities.
Partner with other specialties (cardiac surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonology, psychology, etc.) as needed to holistically serve single ventricle patients.
Ensure physician coverage of clinical services. Direct the efficient management of provider schedules to maximize resources, access, and patient satisfaction.
Partner with service line leadership, physician relations, and business development on the creation and promotion of outreach education and outreach visits to expand market share and grow the program's regional and national reputation.
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with appropriate clinical standards and best practices, which may include development of clinical pathways, algorithms, or protocols applicable to patients served.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Associate Professor
MD, pediatric cardiologist board certified
5+ years of pediatric cardiology experience
Professor
MD, pediatric cardiologist board certified
10+ years of pediatric cardiology experience
Conditions of Employment
Must successfully pass a drug test through Children\'s Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Prior experience in leadership of a single ventricle program in a pediatric academic setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership skills, including interpersonal communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, problem resolution, decision-making and project/change management.
Exemplary leadership with regards to conflict resolution.
Ability to integrate clinical, quality/patient safety, management, and financial concepts within an academic healthcare setting.
Experience in leading high-performing, cross-functional teams; designing and implementing processes for strong and effective clinical and practice management operations.
Oversee and direct quality and patient safety and continuous process improvement.
Commitment to ensuring an excellent patient experience.
