About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented
Software Licensing & Asset Management Analyst
to join our Technology Governance team. This role is critical in ensuring software compliance, optimizing license usage, and supporting the full lifecycle of software assets across the enterprise. You'll manage licensing, procurement, reporting, and vendor relationships while partnering closely with IT, Procurement, and Finance. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of IT asset management and licensing experience who wants to grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Maintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses and entitlements. Track and manage software entitlements, license assignments, and compliance. Work with suppliers to request quotes, create purchase orders, and procure software. Review and reconcile invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate records. Develop software license and usage reports using tools like Power BI and Excel. Perform data analysis to ensure license accuracy and compliance. Partner with IT, Procurement, and Finance to align software asset management with enterprise goals. Manage annual license renewals and maintenance agreements. Audit and reconcile cloud licensing user assignments (terminations, changes, discrepancies). Serve as a primary point of contact for IT software purchases and licensing questions. Support internal billing processes and cost allocation across regions and cost centers. Ensure adherence to company procurement and compliance policies. What You'll Bring
3-7 years of experience in software asset management and licensing Must have experience working with asset management and vendors Experience to work with vendors and suppliers to request quotes, create purchase orders, and procure software. Familiar with licensing modules Some knowledge of procurement process Experience to handle contract renewals with vendors; comfortable having discussion on push backs. Hands-on experience with SaaS license management through publisher portals. Experience with software publisher portals; Adobe, Microsoft, Zoom or SmartSheet Experience with ticketing systems; ServiceNow or similar Experience planning and executing software license audits and reconciliations. Must have worked in a role that requires being detail orientated and organized. Requires a self-starter with enough experience to hit the ground running. Experience with Power BI and creating dashboard Proficiency in Excel; ability to pull reports. Bonus: Experience or some knowledge on reviewing publisher invoices, reconciliation of invoices, bill backs review and coding invoices Bonus: Review and reconcile invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate records. Bonsu: Certification in Software License Management is a plus.
