Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED) Travel Position
Location: Longview, TX Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12s Nights Pay: $1,888.20/week (plus $2,300 completion bonus per contract, up to $6,900 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Longview, TX on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide rapid, high-quality care to patients with urgent, emergent, and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate has strong emergency nursing experience, thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity settings, and is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities Perform rapid triage, assessment, and intervention for patients with emergent and critical conditions. Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to stabilize and treat patients. Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment. Assist in trauma care, resuscitation efforts, and emergency procedures as needed. Provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record. Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices in emergency care. Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility). Minimum 1-2 years of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care setting. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); PALS and TNCC preferred. Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations. Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care. COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
