Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) Travel Position

Location: Corpus Christi, TX Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12s Days, Nights Pay: $2,172.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Corpus Christi, TX on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide immediate, high-quality care to patients presenting with urgent, emergent, and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate has strong emergency nursing experience, thrives in high-acuity, fast-paced settings, and is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform rapid assessment, triage, and intervention for patients with emergent and critical conditions.

Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions promptly and accurately.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to stabilize and treat patients.

Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment.

Assist in trauma care, resuscitation efforts, and emergency procedures as required.

Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based emergency nursing practices.

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility).

Minimum 1–2 years of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); PALS and TNCC preferred.

Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills in high-pressure situations.

Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.

COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
