Job Description A Day in the Life in Wood Dale, IL Your morning starts by reviewing prints and GD&T callouts, then building efficient toolpaths in Mastercam for upcoming production runs. You post clean G- and M-code, head to the floor to set up and calibrate a Haas 2–4 axis lathe, and run first-article parts. With precise measurements and a keen eye for quality, you fine-tune offsets, validate cycle times, and keep safety and consistency front-and-center. Throughout the day, you collaborate with engineering and production, troubleshoot when the unexpected pops up, and coach junior programmers and operators to raise the bar across the shop. What You'll Do

Create, refine, and optimize CNC turning programs in Mastercam for repeatable, high-quality production. Set up and calibrate CNC lathes to ensure efficient, stable machining processes. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment to minimize downtime. Partner with engineering and production to continuously improve machining workflows. Uphold rigorous safety practices and quality standards through every step of the run. Provide training and mentorship to junior programmers and machine operators. What You Bring

Hands-on CNC programming experience with a focus on lathes/turning operations. Strong mastery of Mastercam for turning. Proven capability in machine setup for production runs. Ability to read, interpret, and execute from technical drawings and specifications. Sharp troubleshooting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
